2K Whisky & Gin

2K Whisky is a Slovenian single malt whisky. This means that we distil it in Slovenia and it is the product of a single distillery, made only from natural ingredients, without additives. We make it according to the classic method of whisky making from the Scottish Highlands.

To make 2K Whisky, we use smoked barley and our spring water. The barley is first moistened to germinate and then dried to minimal moisture content. Such processed barley is called malt. From it, the wort is cooked according to a specific temperature regime. After it has cooled, we pour it into yeast. Yeasts stimulate alcoholic fermentation, which means that sugar converts to alcohol. This is how we get the base for whisky distillation.

After a controlled process of double distillation, 2K Whisky lies in oak barrels. With time it matures, thus developing its particularly distinctive note. We also fill the bottles with fresh whisky, where it impresses with its clean, transparent colour.

We recommend that you treat yourself to 2K Whisky chilled, but without the company of ice. After all, such a noble drink does not mix with water.
